The Times, in its issue this morning, announces the death of Cardinal MacCabe, Archbishop of Dublin. The labourers and drivers in the coal trade struck on Monday, and it is now feared that the strike will extend to the lumpers and others. They demand that the eight hours’ system shall be adopted. The masters refuse to agree to the demand of the men, and threaten to lay up the vessels engaged in the coal trade.
