Eight men have been charged with complicity in the Phoenix Park murders, and of these o‘Brieu, Brady, and M'Oafferty have been fully identified as having been seen lurking in the grass near the scene of the murders. The medical evidence shows that the wouuds on the bodies exactly correspond with those likely to be inflicted by the amputation knives found in a loft belonging to another of the prisoners, James Carey, a resident in Dublin. The prisoners at first laughed at the charge, and then appeared greatly alarmed. The most intense excitement exists in Dublin over the arrests.
