CHILDREN’S PICNIC.

[to the editor.] Sir—ln reply to a letter from Mr Hannan in yonr issue of last evening, the collecting committee did not-call on Mr Hannan for a donation, as they were aware that the members of Mr Hannan’s church were having a picnic of their own, and did not therefore feel justified in asking them to contribute to another. They did not ask Mr Mulvihill for a donation. —I remain, &c,, W. Barnett. January 3, 1882.
