A deputation from the New Zealand Rifle Association waited on Mr Bryce tliis morning, asking that the Government grant should be increased to £IOOO, so as to allow the value nf prizes to be.increased. The deputation mentioned that future meetings would be peripatetic, and probably the next would be held at Dunedin. Mr Bryce replied he could not at present give a definite answer, but would bring the matter before the Cabinet.
