We are informed that dealers id medicne often try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Eucalyptus Extract. Sb far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences would not be serious j but as the qualities of both of the ducts are in many cases directly opposed to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facts The eucalyptus oil is recorded td hd of value as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, manifests a drawing) blistering effect upon the shin; Any blistering brolight on by thd application of a medicament must im crease inflammation) and it is therefore evident that in Cases of wounds, colds) bronchitis) diptheria) croup) sprains) &C., the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper, an application of the oil instead of our extract must impair the diseased. The truth of our assertion is founded upon the fact that the oil is a resinouU product, equivalent to Common turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight; pur ex‘ tract consists of the evaporating pat tides of the gum leaves) soothing and healing in its effects, its price being twenty-font shillings for one poUnd weight; Our extract, the genuine article) is only made up in one half* ounce and one ounce vials; vials bearing on the labels our trade mark and signature; SANDER aiid gONgj Sole MaiiUfac* turers of the Eucalyptus Extract; Sandhurst) November) 1878.
