A PUBLIC MEETING will take place at the Theatre Royal, Seddon street, on MONDAY EVENING NEXT, at 8 o’clock, to discuss the above question. Those in favor of the broad policy and the development of the Kumara goldfields and the opening up of the lands adjoining the borough are invited to attend. Those who wish to continue the infliction of excessive taxation, and a starvation or survival of the fittest impolitic course are challenged to attend and defend their actions, and shew cause why a minority are to coerce a majority.
