C, McCormick, agent for the Union Steamship Company, was attacked with fever and died to-day. ite got wet through boarding a steamer on Saturday, Wellington, April 19. While alighting from the tram his foot slipped and he fell under the car, sustaining some severe bruises. Makton, April 19 T. P. Philips, late schoolmaster at South Makirikiri, was charged at the Marton R.M. Court with bigamy. He bad seduced one of his pupils, a girl of 15, and then married her, his first wife being still alive at Auckland. Prisoner was remanded for a week.
