ff 0 T I C E: .JURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS r Globulus extract. Under the distinguished patronage of hig Majesty the King of Italy, at Borne, according to communication" received from the Consul-General fol Italy, at Melbourne, itpon instrud tidns from' the Minister for Foreign 1 Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878; We are informed that dealers iri medicne often try to Sell the eUcalyptuß oil found in the trade instead of our' Eucalyptus Extract. So far as the committing of imposition against the" public in such a case is concerned, the consequences -would riot be serious; but as the qualities of both of the pro* ducts are in many cases directly opposed to one another, we consider it oilr duty to direct the public attention to the following facts i-^ The eucalypths oil is recorded to be* of value as a medicament in cases oi" rheumatism of secondary nature, and" manifests a drawing, blistering effecfe Upon the skin: Any blistering brought oil by the application of a medicament must ini crease inflammation, and it is therefore* evident that in cases of wounds, coldsj bronchitis, diptheriaj croup, sprains; &c., the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications iri this paper, an application of thS oil instead of our eitradt must impair' the diseased. The truth of our assertion is founded np'on the fact that the oil id a resinous 5 product, equivalent to tiommon turpen* tine, its market value being about three" Shillings ofie pound weight. Oar ex* tract consists of the evaporating par> tides of the gnm. leaves; soothing and healing in its effeets; its price being twenty-fonr Shillings for one pound weight; Onr extract, the genuine article, is only made tip in one halfc ounce stnd one ounce vials; vials bearing ori the labels oUr trade mark and signature. SANDER and SONS; Sole Manufac* turers of the Eucalyptus Extract. Sandhurst; November,-1878. DUNCAN M'LEAN; Wholesale Agent for New Zealand; The Extract of the Eucalyptus Gto bulds, manufactured solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declaration and testimonials" : Epitome of declaration made before' Moritss Cohn, J. P.; on the 17th October; 1877, at Sandhurst «—« Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe; of Ironbark, for nine weeks; and declared tKat amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely 1 necessary. At this junction Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sander and fcons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and, by the appli-= cation of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of sSU danger, arid he has now quite" recovered." Brief Extracts - frctat the Bendigtf Evening News iMr Gieschen, residing hear Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold in! November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief; Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, arid all medical skill proved ineffectual iri giving relief. Cored after talking extract internally for six months. A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine, in Lorig Gully, applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate ais much as an interruption in his attendance at work; Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbiri (Runnymede) informed the manufac* turers that the extract applied twice' restored health to her daughter, eleveri years of age, who had been rushed andf trampled upon by a cow*. In November,- Mrs Reeves', from the" Rifleman's Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium; caused by sunstroke, whicir took place' in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered ifi the bend of the knee from a swelling? which had formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending? to any work; She removed the swelling completely by a continued application of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December/ 1877, states:—Last week the eldestf boy of Mr Morgan awoke ia the nigh* crying with, eatache. The extract WaS applied, and the little fellow was cme4 and asleep in ten minutes.DUNCAN M'LEAN, Wholesale Agent for Ne*v> Zezlztc
