WARDEN'S COURT.
Wednesday, April 5. [Before H. A. Stratford, Esq.; Warden.] kUMARA APPLICATIONS. The applications of C. Mitchell; E: Turnhull, and J. Irwin, by their agent; Mr Haunan, for residence areas were granted. W. Wartman's application for a residence area was struck oiit, there being no appearance on the part of the applicaut. The application of C. H. Burgess for a tunnel, M'Kay and party for a double area, and Ward and party fdr protection, were also struck out, there no appearance in either case; The application of Hardy and party, by their agent Mr Hanrian, for a double area and cancellation of original certificate was granted: Shrives and party applied for'a doublearea.—Granted. In the application of Biinrf and party for a tail-race, there was no appearance, and it was struck out; Solberg and party applied, by their agent Mr Hannan,- for a double area.—. The application was granted. The application of 0. W. Anderson I and party for the 1 amalgamation of water-rights was granted. Howe; and party applied by their agent Mr Hannan, for a doubli area. The application was granted. The whole of the applications for tail-races to connect with the sludgechanuel, numbering nineteen, were further postponed to the 19th inst., pending definite instructions from the Government. The application of John White and party for a double area was granted. The application of Paulsen and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, for a double area, was adjourned. T. P. Ward applied by his agent, Mr Hannan, for a residencearea.—The application was granted with regard to the greater part of the ground applied for, a small portion which, overlapped the residence area of A. Pascoe being thrown off. GREENSTONE APPLICATION^. Hanson and party applied by their as;ent, Mr Hannan, for a double area.— The application was granted. J. Minogue applied for the registration of a branch-race.—The application was granted, subject to existing lights.
A man named Jamison had at the previous Court day applied for a rehearing Afthe case KothwellV. Jaraieson, anil the application came on for consideration. Mr Hannan appeared do behalf of Roth well. The Warden stated his willingriess to grant the Ve-hearing, as it appeared to him that there had been something crooked previously. Jamieson, who was present, asserted repeatedly that he could not understand what was being said to him-, and declined to accept the re-hearing. The Warden wis accordingly compelled to refuse the application.
