So far as the committing of iriipositioh against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences .would, riot tie serious j biit.as the dualities of both of the pro« ducts are id. many cases directly op* posed to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facts : ~ The eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of value as a niedicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, ani manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the skin; . Any blistering brought on by the* application of a medicament roust iri» creasia inflammation; and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds; colds; bronchitis, dipthena, croup, sprains; &ci; the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unques* tioriablj proved by former publications' id this paper, an application of the oil ihstead of oiir extract iriust impair, the diseased. t . The. truth of drir assertion is founded upon the fact that the oil is a resinous" product; equivalent to common, turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight; Oiir ex* tract consists of the evaporating par* tides of leaves; soothing and healing.in its effects; its price being shillings for . one pound weight. DUNCAN M'LEAN; Wholesale Agent for New Zealand; The Extract of the Eucalyptus Gib*, bulus, manufactured solely by Messrs aiid Sons, Sandhurst; recomV mends' itself by the following declara* tion and testimonials | Epitome of declaration made before ; Mo.ritz Cohn; J.P., on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst :—" Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mf Rnabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks; and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was necessary, At this junction Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sandef and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and, by the appli* cation of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son Within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered.*' Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News:— Mr Gieschen, residing near Syden* ham Gardens, had a very severe bold in November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief! Cured after taking extract internally for six months., A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine,.in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the ac* cident did not even necessitate a£s much as an interruption in his attendance afi work. . Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbitt (Runny mede) informed the mariufac* turers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter* eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled Upon by a cow. In November, Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman's Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, batcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in the bend of the knefe from a swelling which had formed a lump of consider* to any work. She removed the swell* ing completely by a continued application of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December 1 , 1877, states:—Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the nighe crying with earache.
