BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, March 23. In the House of Commons to-day, the motion for granting the sum of .£IO,OOO as an annuity to Prince Leopold, on the occasion of his approaching marriage to Princess Helena of Waldeck, was voted on a division by a considerable majority, the minority, numbering 42 members, considted of Radicals and Parnellite members. In the House of Lords to-day, a bill was introduced by Earl lledesdale, requiring that membeis of Parliament, upon taking the customary oath of allegiance, should declare their belief in God was rejected on the motion for its second reading without a division. A meeting for the purpose of considering the question of the proposed new college of music was held this evening. The Prince of Wales presided, and there were present a large number of distinguished persons, many colonials resident iu Eng'and, Karl Kiuiberley (Secretary of State), Sir Henry Parkes, and the Ageut-tieneral for the Colonies. Several of the speakers on the occasion appealed to the Colonial Secretary to co-operate in the objects of the meeting, aud resolutions were passed with a view to the formatiou of the proposed college. Washington, March 23. The House of Representatives has passed the Chinese Exclusion Bill, which was recently voted by the Senate. The measure entirely prohibits Chinese immigration for twenty years, and only permits Chinese officials, nierchauts, students, and travellers to enter the United States. ■■ «. LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
