GREYMOUTH RACES.
+ The racing yesterday wasj if possible, better than that of the previous day. The attendance also was excellent for a Second ; the number could not have been far short of a thousand". The result of the three principal events were published by us yesterday. The following are the remainder of the 1 events on the programme. Hack Rack, 1£ miles. Three entered—Nikau, Native, and Snowdrop. It was an easy race for Nikau, Native not being equal to come on terms with him. Fouced Handicap, 20 sovs. 1£ miles j open to hack winner*. Dick, 7st 21b 1 Nikau, 6st 2 Mary Stewart, 7st 71b ... 3 Nine entered for this race, but Freedom, Satellite, Rose, Talent, and Shark were scratched, leaving as contestants Dick, Nikau, and Mary Stewart, Frith declaring to win with the latter. Consolation Handicap, 20 sovs. 1 mile. Whalebone and Talent were the only ones that came to the post, and for the first time in the meeting Whalebone carried his colors to the front with ease. Talent apparently not equal to the weight placed upon him (Bst 6lb), and disliking the heavy course. Whalebone carried only 6ot 21b.
