[NEW ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, March 15. Captain Tozer, of the Rotorua, was on laat passage presented by the passengers with h parse of sovereigns, as a token of gratitude for kindness and courtesy to them while on board. The Rotorua visited the Sounds on the West Coast, and the captain showed his passengers every point of interest, much to the gratification of those on board. Night trains will be run during the Exhibition, if they are found to pay. At a dinner given to the Alpine tourists last night, Green suggested the formation of an Alpine Club in Chmtchurch, and spoke warmly of the splendid field open for the operations of such a club. A shock of earthquake was felt in Lyttelton at 5.17 p.m. yesterday. Invercargi 11, March 15. The Court House at Riverton. was burned clown this morning. * There was great difficulty in preventing the fire from spreading to the 'posit and telegraph offices. ,'^; Divers are still engaged iff seeking to recover, the silver lost in theJTararua. The weather is now more favorable to their operations, which they are hopeful will yet be successful.
