LATEST ENGLISH NEWS. London, February 17. General Skobeloff harrauguad a gathering of Servian students in Paris yesterday, and delivered a warm diatribe against the Germans, expressing at the same time the opinion that a HnssoGerman war was inevitable. The event has created a sensation in Vienna and Berlin, and the Press in these cities express indignation at the action of General Skobeloff. Intelligence is to hand that a band of Peruvian marauders sacked the town of Pisco and massacred 1000 inhabitants, including 300 foreigners, who were assisting the Peruvians to defend the place.
LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melbourne, February 20, The P. and O. Company’s s.s. Mirzapore and her passengers were released from qnarantime to-day. ENGLISH ELEVEN V. AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN. Sydney, February 20. The cricket match between ilie Australian and English teams was resumed to-day 7 . The weather was again very fine and the attendance large. The Englishmen resumed their second innings, and were all disposed of for 232.
