London, February 11. Increasing opposition among the members, ot the House of Commons towards the cloture proposals of the Government is daily manifesting itself. The debate on the address in reply to the Queen’s Speech still continues in the House of Commons.

Information is to hand to the effect that there is no foundation whatever for the report recently published thas the special correspondent of the London Times had been murdered bv Ar-e-ants in Albania. The official Gazette announces that Sir H. Robinson has been appointed a member ol the Privy Council. St. Petersburg, February 11. It is officially stated here that the Russian Government will repel any mediation on the part of other Powers on behalf of the Jews, but at the same time will shortly adopt vigorous measures to prevent outrages against that race in Russia. ■* LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melbourne, February 11. A regaria took place in Hobson’s Bay this afternoon, when crews from the English, French, and Russian men of war competed in several events. The latter resumed their first innings, and again remained at the wickets until stumps were drawn, when they had put together G4O runs for the loss of only six wickets. Murdoch scored 321. S. Jones is not out for 109, and Garret, not out, for 75, At the close of the clay’s play Murdoch was presented with 100 guineas, which had been subscribed upon the ground.
