The Kumara Times. Published Every Evening. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1882.
For some time past the management of the laumara Times regret they have not been able to devote that attention to reporting progress of mining ami woiks on this goldfield which it has been their wish to do. The cause of this was due in a great measure to the difficulty of securing a thoroughly competent mid trustworthy person who could devote the necessary time fur this purpose. The management have now the plea-
sure to announce that this difficulty lias been overcome, and a gentleman possessing the attributes mentioned, and who is a practical miner himself withal, has kindly undertaken to supply this long-felt desideratum. The furnishing of this information will of course involve extra expense to the proprietary • and they hope that there will be at least a corresponding increase in the number of subscribers. The reports will be of such a character as will be handy for reference, and we recommend Cvery shareholder of a claim to subscribe, so as to keep for reference the Mining Reports. The impetus which will be given to mining by the opening of the sludge-channel will doubtless give to these reports special value ; and the proprietors therefore look forward to a large increase in the circulation of the Kumara Times. The drst of these reports will be published to-morrow.
