The Kumara Times. Published Every Evening. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 1882.

The days appointed for the meetings of the Licensing Committee for the Licensing District for the Borough of Kumara for the present year are published by the Returning Officer in another column. The first quarterly meeting will be held on Friday, the 10th March, 1882. All applications are to be lodged in duplicate not later than Thursday, the 16th inst. Referring to the nominations and election of the Licensing Committee it may be well to publish the boundaries of the Licensing District of the Borough of Kumara as proclaimed and defined in the New Zealand Gazette, of the 20th ult., just received :

The Licensing District of the Borough of Kumara commences at a point on the western side of the Greenstone Road being the southernmost corner peg of Knral Section No. 192 G; thence northwesterly at a right angle to said road for 40 chains; thence northeasterly at a right angle to the southern boundary of Suburban Section No. 1309, 9GBO links ; thence south-easterly following the southern boundaries of Suburban Sections Nos. 1309, 1308, 1307, 1181, 1180, 1179, 1173, 5290 links j thence across the Greenstone

Road and by the southern boundary of Ferry Reserve No. 68 and the northeastern boundary of Educational Endowment No. 128, 4600 links; the.nc • south-westerly along part of the south-eastern boundary of said Reserve No. 128, 1140 links and 8100 links, and a line in continuation of the same ; and thence north-westerly at a right angle in a straight line to the commencing point, 4100 links. The quarterly licensing meeting fur the district of Hohotui, for taking into consideration all applications for certificates for such licenses as may be granted by the Licensing Committee will be held at the Court House, Greenstone, at noon on Wednesday, the Bth March next. Applications must be lodged in duplicate not later than the 14th inst.
