KUMARA HOSPITAL.

A meeting of the Hospital Committee was held in the Secretary's Booms on Monday last; present—Mr Pearn (in the chair), Messrs Toms, Morris, Spyer, Wilson, and Kiely. The minntes of the previous meeting were read and coufirmed. Letters from the Secretary to the Long Tunnel Company, and the Colonial Secretary, Wellington, were read and received. It was moved and carried " That the Secretary inform the Long Tunnel! Company that a consolidated ticket for sixteen men will be issued on receipt of the sum mentioned in their letter of 3rd .November. The Wardsman's report for the inontb of November was read and received; From it we learn that Patrick O'Reilly, who sustained several weeks ago a compound fracture of tke left leg, and a fracture of the right clavicle (or collar-bone) had been discharged on the 3rd November j Peter Doonan was still under treatment for phthisis; Edward Simpson, a miner, had a lacerated wound on the right leg, and was still under treatment at the end of the month. The consideration of a motion by Mr Hughes was adjourned till next meeting. Mr Pearn was appointed on the House Committee vice Mr Toms. The following sums were handed in t—By Mr Morris, £2 ;Mr Wilson, £l > Mr Pearn, £2 • Mr Morgan, £1; Mr P. O'Reilly (a patient), £Q ■ Geo. Stewart (a patient), £6 j the Secretary, £3—being a total of £2l. Accounts to the amount of £45 17s Were passed fot payment. The meeting then adjourned. tpENDERS are invited by the undersigned for the construction of a FLUME on the Duke of Edinburgh Terrace, Greenstone.
