NOTICE OF POLLING- DAY. IN pursuance of “ The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881,” William Alfred Barton, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Kumara, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the Ninth day of November, 1881, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an ELECTION will be held for the return of ONE Qualified Person to serveas a MEMBER for the said Electoral District ; and that the NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES will take place at the Resident Magistrate’s Court House, Kumara, at noon on the FIRST day of DECEMBER, 1881 ; and that the POLL, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district, on the NINTH day of DECEMBER, 1881. The following are the POLLING PLACES for the Electoral District of Kumara:— The Resident Magistrate’s Court House, Kumara (principal). The Polling-booth, Dillman’s Town. T HEREBY apply for a LEASE OF JL LAND for Agricultural Purposes situate about three miles above Dillman’s Town, being an island in the Terenlakau River, and about 5 chains below the nioiith of the Okuku Creek, and comprising 150 acres or thereabouts, in accordance with the Agricultural Leases Regulations made under “ The Mines Act, 1877."
