IN pursuance of “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881,” I, William Alfred Barton, Returning Officer fertile Electoral District of Kmnara, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the Ninth day of November, 1881, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an ELECTION will be held for the return of ONE Qualified Person to serve as a M EMBER for the said Elcctotal District; and that the NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES will take place at the Resident Magistrate’s Court House, Kumara, at noon on the FIRST day of DECEMBER, 1881 ; and that the POLL, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district, on the NINTH day of DECEMBER, 1881. PURCHASERS of SECTIONS at the late sale are informed that, the BALANCE due on their purchases will be received by Mr E. T. ROBINSON, Secretary to the School commissioners, who will attend at the Office at Kumara for that purpose, on MONDAY the 28th NOVEMBER inst., between the hours of 2 and 6 p.m. Parties who may find it more convenient to complete their purchases at the Land Office, Hokitika, may do so.
