LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS, Brisbane, November 8. News has been received here, reporting that attacks have recently been made by the natives in strong force upon the fishing stations at Flinder’s Island and Knight Ldand, near the coast to the month of Cape Melville, At the former place, the natives were completely repulsed, but the station at Bought Island was partially destroyed, and the firearms and razors were carried oil. It is feared that Mrs Watson, witc of one of the owners of the Bcclu;

de Mer fishing station on Lizard Island, has been murdered by the natives, who, it is believed, attacked and plundered the station on the 26th ult., and carried off Mrs Watson and her children during the absence of her husband and his partner. The search parties, which were despatched from Cooktown to examine the neighboring islands, have not as yet found any traces of them.
