[new ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, October 1. A girl named Dora Kenelly, daughter, of a settler at Pukerirao, was killed by being thrown out of a dray through the horse bolting. Dunedin, October 2. An inquiry was held at the Custom house on Saturday into the collision which took place on August 17, in the harbor, between the Union Company’s steamship Albion and Waitaki. The evidence will be forwarded to the Marine Department. Thirty-eight' nominations have been received for the Dunedin Cup. Christchurch, October 1, Allison Smith, locomotive superintendent, states that a large number of the places of the men on strike from the railway workshops were filled up by good men.
