London, September 27. Five of the prisoners who were arrested under the provisions of the Irish Coercion Act were to-day released. Among the number was the Rev. Father Sheehy, who was arrested in May last. Sq>tember 28. An announcement contained in Monday'd Standard, to the effect that the Transvaal Volksraad had refused to ratify the convention, is not confirmed. Telegrams received today from the Cape report that the Volksraad is still discussing the convention, but the speeches of members have so far been hostile .to its ratification.
The ship Seirol Wyn, 1064 tons, from London to Syduey, came into collision with a brig (whose name was not ascertained) when in the channel, off Eastbourne, near Beachy Head. The Seirol Wyn was considerably damaged, and was obliged to put back to Gravesend for repairs; part of her cargo was thrown overboard. Nothing has since been heard of the brig;
