ASHBURTON, August 13. A child named Neill was drowned at Alford Forest yesterday, through falling into a well which had been left un:covered t Auckland, August 12. Arrived—Albatross, from the Islands. She reports the wreck of the Auckland brigantin'e Meg Merrilies, which left iSnva for Levuka, and when beating Wong the reef, missed stays and went iashore. She was washnd high and dry. The crew were engaged dismantling her when the Albatross left.
