NOTICE PURE VOLATILE GLOBULUS EXTRACT. So far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the coiisequences would not, fee serious \ but as the qualities of both of the products are in many casies directly opposed to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the public attention to the following facts : The eucalyptus oil is recorded to bq of value as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, and manifests a drawitig, blistering effect upon tlie skin; Any blistering brought oh by the application of a medicament must increase inflammation, and it is therefore evident that in cases of bounds, colds} brbnbhitisj diptheria, Croup, sprains} &c., the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unqued tioriably proved by former publications in this paper, an application of the oil instead of oiir extract must impair the diseased. . The truth of biir assertion is founded npon the fact that the oil is a resinous product, equivalent to common turpenits market value being about thred shillings one pound weight. Our extract consists of the evaporating pad tides of the gum leaves} soothing and healing in its effects, its price being twenty-fdnr shillings for- one pound weight. The Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, manufactured .solely by Messrs Sander and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following declahU tion and testimonials Epitome of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.P.j on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst :— u Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mi 4 Euabe, of Iron bark, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary; At this junction Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of, their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and; by the applfc cation of the same he had the satisfaci tion of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered.” Brief Extratits from the Bendigo Evening News :—- Mr Gieschen, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold in November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief; Cured after taking extract internally for six months, A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extratit, dud the cident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in hia attendance at work. Mrs Weppner, in Coibinubbin (Runnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November, Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman’s Arina, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryari, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife df Mr Fickel suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of consider able size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued applies* tion of the extract. The Donald Itimes, of Ist December, 1877, states:—Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache.
