ON SCHOOL REQUISITES.

[to the editor.] Sir —ln reply to Mr Joseph Petrie’s last letter, I can only say that the one and only amount received by this Committee from the Board of Education is £4 10s 3d. If the Board passed a resolution to supply Committees with requisites free, and to refund the amounts charged to them, all I can say is that this Committee has never received the slightest intimation of such a resolution being passed. I must decline to correct any future misstatements which may be made.— Yours obediently, James Wylde, Honorary Secretaiy Ivnauua School Committee. July Bth, 1881. [Enough has been written on this vexed question, and we cannot undertake to insert any more letters on the subject.— Ed. K.T.]
