BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, June 30. Serious evictions have occurred at Mitchelstown, in the County Cork, Ireland, at the scene of the serious disturbances on the 28th May last. Large numbers of the people assembled to-day to oppose the process-servers, who were being supported by the police. The latter were attacked, and in return fired on the mob, thirty of whom were wounded. Paris, June 30. Telegrams are to hand from Tunis announcing that hostilities have occurred at Fax, a seaport town on the Tunisian Coast, between a detachment of French troops and the Arab tribes resident there. The troops had been despatched to quell a vising of the tribes which recently broke out in the Fax district, and on their landing at the j.ort they were fired on by the Arabs,
who had gathered in force to oppose their debarkation. The troops returned the fire which was ko|»t up for some time, but the Arabs were finally driven back. Several on both sides were wounded, including the French consul, who was landing with the troops.
