A CHESS TOURNAMENT.
[to THE EDITOR.] ' Sir —May I .be allowed through your widely-circulated paper to suggest that some steps be taken, for another chess tournament before the winter ends. Many players since' the last have been practising assiduously, and are anxious to try their skill. ‘ I hope this will be taken up by some of our leading chessmen. I can' safely say success will attend it.—l am, sir, yours, &c., Axa. June 18,1881.
