WATER-SUPPLY COMMITTEE.
An adjourned meeting of the Watersupply Committee was held at Dillmau’s Town on Thursday evening last. The following members were present— Messrs Agnew, F. Barrowman, Dun-. gao, (in the chair), Wheeler, Leslie, Kettle, M. Barrowman, Morris (Secretary). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Mr Morris was appointed secretary in place of Mr R. M'Keniie, who had resigned. ' The Committee largely reviewed many matters relative to the petition for presentation to the present session of Parliament re increased Water-sup-ply, when the following resolution was carried“ That Messrs Agnew, Eetfle, and Dungan be deputed to prepare the petition by next meeting of Committee." The Committee are in. great hopes of being able to forward the petition to our members in the Assembly by the, end of the present month, and they will have plenty of work to do if that end can be accomplished. The Committee adjourned Until; Thursday evening, the 16th inst. ' ‘
