BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, May 30. Arrests of suspected persons and prominent agitators continue to be made in Ireland. Among those now in custody is Mr Kettle, one of the principal members of the Land League, Berlin, May 30. Prince Bismarck has presented a memorial to the Reichstad, urging that a subvention be authorised to a line of steamers, with a view to the extension of trade between Germany and Australia. LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, June 1. Telegrams from Woollongong report that the captain and mate of the barque Queen of Nations refuse to leave the wreck.* Their proceedings are said to he extraordinary. Latest telegrams to hand from Woollongong state that the captain and mate of the Queen of Nations have come ashore from the wreck. The vessel now lies on a high sandy beach, and it is expected that the cargo will be saved. Parliament is summoned to meet for the despatch of business on the sth July. The steamship Wakatipu was detained and sailed to-day for Wellington. Launceston, June 1. The barque Cambria, about which some anxiety was felt, arrived last evening from Mauritius.
