Curran-, wholesale grocer, 600 George street, resulting in the partial destruction of the building. The stock was also much‘damaged by fire and water. Insurances on building and stock amount to £12,000, including £4OO in the New Zealand Insurance Office, and that amount will fully cover the loss. Another large fire occurred to-day in the Hay Market, Causing the total destruction of a store Occupied by Harris and Co., general produce merchants. The stock and building were insured for £2OOO in the Natkmal Company of New Zealand.
