BOROUGH OF KUMARA. REPORT OF THE BOROUGH AUDITORS. To the Mayor and Borough Councillors, Kumara. Gentlemen—Herewith we enclose Annual Balance-Sheet and Statement of the Receipts and Expenditure for the Six Months ended 31st March, certified. A statement has been laid before us by the Town Clerk from the Colonial lreasurer making a cairn for repayment of the sum of £560 0s 4d, gold revenue paid in error to your Council instead of the Westland County Council, duriu~ the past year. Now as the total amount paid to your credit from that sourc. in that time is only £412 9s 3d, we submit that we cannot entertain the claim at the present time as a liability. We have placed ourselves in communication with the .Secretary to that Department and will on receipt furnish you with further information.
