NOT I C E )URE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTRA'CT. Under, the distinguished patronage ot lug Majesty the King of Italy, at Roine, according to communication received from the Consul-Generdl for Italy, at Melbourne, upon instructions froiri the Minister for Foreign, Affairs, dated Uth March, 1878 Y We are informed that dealers id medicne often try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead Of our Eucalyptus Extract. .So far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is concerned, the consequences would riot be serious j but as the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly posed to one another; we consider ifc our duty to direct the public attention; to the following facts : The eucalyptus Oil is recorded to be, of Value as a hiedicairient in cases of rheumatism of secondary nature, arid manifests .a- drawing, blistering effect; iipOn trie skin. Any blistering brought ori by the application of a medicament must increase and It is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds-, bronchitis, diptheria, croup, sprains-, &c, the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper, aii amplication of thS oil instead of our extract must impair, the diseased. The truth, of Our assertion is founded upon the fact that the oil is a resinous product} equivalent to common, toirpentine, its market value being abdttfc three shillings one pound weight; Our extract consists of the evaporating particle's Of the gam leaves; soothing and healing in its effects; its price being twenty-fonr shillings fdr one pound weight. Onr extract, the genuine article; is only made up in one halfounce arid one ounce vials ; vials bearing on the labels our trade riiark aud signature. SANDER and SONS, Sole Manufa* fcurers of the Eucalyptus Extract. Sandhurst; November; 1878; DUNCAN M'LEAN, Wholesale Agent fdr New Zealand; The Extract of the Eucalyptus Gldbulas, manufactured Jsolely by Messrs 7 Sander and Sons, Sandhurst; recoriiniends itself by the following declaration and testimonials:— Epitome of declaration made before Moritii Cohn, J. P., on the 17th October, 1877, at Sandhurst :—" Three niedical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabej of IrOnbark; fdr nine weeks* and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutelynecessary. At this junction Mr Raabe called ott Messrs Sander and fcons, procaring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and; by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his son within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has now quite recovered." Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News:— Mr Gieschen, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a very severe cold in November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief. Cured after taking extract internally for six months. A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine, in Long Gully, applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much as an interruption in his attendance at work. Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbin .(Runnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November, Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman's Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a lump of considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued application of the extract. The Donald Times, of Ist December, 1877, states:—Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache. The extract was applied, and the little fellow was cured and asleep in ten minutes. DUNCAN M'LEAN, Wholesale Agent for New Zealand.
