OUR CEMETERY.

[to the editor.] Sir— If the Borough Council are in funds at present, I think a few poundy ■ might be very judiciously expended inclearing, forming paths, and few trees in our Cemetery. The state in which a graveyard is kept is often a good test of the moral feeling of a community. We cannot better show out* respect for this memory of our dead than by decorating, as far as possible, their last resting place ", not necessarily by “ Sculptured Urn or animated Bust,”

but by those ornaments which nature has provided in the shape of trees and flowers. As the planting season is approaching no time should be lost, and in order to call attention to this matter, I would ask you to insert this above, and oblige, yours &,c, Resident. fcumara, March 31, 1881.
