Welshman— America was first dheovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492. The south coast was made more fully known by Americas Vespucci:.; in 1493, and named after him America. The coast of the present United States, oi- North America, was discovered by Sebastian Cabot and his son in 1497. No one of the name of Murdoch is historically associated with its discovery.
