So far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a case is Concerned, the consequences would, not Be serious j but as the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly opposed to one another, we consider it our duty to direct the public abtentiod to the following facts : The fed'cdlyptus oil is recorded to be of valiie as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of Secondary nature, and manifests a drawings blistering effect upon the skin’. Any blistering brought oh the application of a medicament mast increase inflammation; and it is therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds; bronchitis, diptheria, crmip; sprains; &c., the curative power of our extract ou the named diseases beihg unquestionably jprdved by former publications in this jlapcr, an application of the oil instead of olir extract niust impair the diseased. The truth or olir assertion is foilhdecL upon the fact that the oil is a resinouS product, equivalent to common turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight. The wife of Mr Fickel suffered in the bend of the knee from a Swelling which had formed a Ititflp of considerable Sizd, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued applies tion of the extract; The Donald Times, of Ist December* 1877, Rtates:—Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the riight crying with earache.
