THE IRISH RELIEF FUND.

The Dublin Mansion House Relief Committee has issued its balance-sheet. The total amount received was ,£181,665 9s Id, of Which Australia alone sent £62,875 ) the amount received from Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand having been £94,022. There remained a balance in hand of £3113. The total expenses of the fund, including the cost of printing pamphlets and appeals was £4673. Grants of £l5O each were made to the families of Doctor Robinson, Donovan, and Greely, who had died of fever caught while discharging their duties as dispensary doctors at Skibbereen and Oranmore, and the following resolution was passed ;—“ That the Committee be now adjourned sine die j that the balance of the fund be invested in the following nine gentlemen ;—The Lord Mayor, Sir G. B, Owens, Alderman Tarpey, David Drummond, William Lane Joynt, Charles Kennedy, Colonel Daveron, T. M. Hniton, V. B. Dillon, jun., as trustees! with Full power to wind up tire business of the Committee, to receive anj other donations to this, fund that may come to hapd, and to pay all debts due or which may accrue in connection therewith, and to devote the balance as speedy as practicable to the erection of boat ?tUps > and the purchase of boats and fishing gear for distressed fishermen on the western coast of Tfeland, according to their discretion, and to incur any expenditure they think necessary for carrying out this object.”
