The Herald says:—The Wanganui hack, Dan, did the Consoktion mile aHhe Wai-, rarapa races in lmin. 35sec.-, with 9sfc 71b. up. Carrying 9st,, he ran- second to Danebury for the Wairarapa J. C.Handicap, 2 miles, m; 3min. 30sec. ; . The local paper referred to Dan as the " crack visiting horse." We have not heard whe» ther he is to go back to harness work.
