Mr Barleyman prosecuted on behalf of the Controller and Auditor-General, and asked for a remand, as other sums would have to be accounted for and witnesses would have to come some distance. Mr Ward appeared for the accused and offered no objection, but asked that bail should be allowed. The Bench had no objection, and remanded the case until Thursday next.
