THE STAFFORD POST-OFFICE.

PUBLIC MEETING AT STAFFORD TOWN. An indignation meeting was held at Stafford Town on Saturday evening, at the Oddfellows Hall, to protpst against the late removal of the Post-office from the building Used for that purpose for years to some other premises in another portion of the town, greatly to the inconvenience of the public generally.

Mr M'Alpine was voted to the chair, and, having stated the objfct of the meeting, several persons present spoke strongly in favor of restoring the Post-office to its old position, and the following resolutions in regard thereto were carried unanimously : Mr Byejse moved, and Mr Pearsox seconded, " That inasmuch as the Postmaster here has shifted the office without making it generally known to the public until its actual removal to its present site, is inconvenient to the said publie, that a- deputation be ap-
