BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, June 18. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain amounts to 1,550,000 quarters. Consols, 98|. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 50s. Best Australian beef tallow 325. The cricket match, Australians v. Eighteen University of Dublin was continued today. The attendance was large and the weather fine. The Home team in their first innings scored 98. The Australians then went in for their second innings, and when the stumps were drawn had scored 132 with the loss of six wickets. Bannerman was the highest scorer with 69, and caught out In the House of Commons to-day Sir Wilfied Lawson introduced a series of resolutions regarding local option in licensing. Mr Gladstone, Premier, opposed the resolutions, but they were eventually agreed to on division. June 19. The Wanganui Harbor Improvement Loan of £6,000 at six per cent, was announced to-day. Consols again risen, and arte now quoted at 98|. Adelaide wheat is declining, and is at 49s 6d per 4961b5, ex warehouse. The cricket match, Australians v. Eighteen of Dublin University was concluded today. The Australians continued their second innings, which closed for 156 runs. The Dublin team then went in, and when the stumps were drawn had lost seven wickets for 86. The match was drawn, but in favor of the Australians. The weather was showery during the day, and the play was frequently interrupted by the rain.
