BRITISH AND FOREIGN. Lou DOS, June 14. The Australian cricketers commenced a match to-day, at Belfast, against 18 of the north of Ireland. The weather was fine, and the Home team went in first and scored 100. Spofibrth and Palmer both bowled splendidly, the former taking ten and the latter six wickets. The Australians were all disposed of for 102, when the stumps were drawn. June 15. In the House of Commons last night, a loug and animated debate took place relating to M. Laucour, the new French Ambassador to London. Mr O'Donnell attacked his antecedents. Mr Gladstone moved that Mr O'Donnell be not heardj and ultimately the original motion was withdrawn. Colonel Gordon having failed to obtain permission to go to China, has tendered the resignation of his position in the British service, and goes to China with tie object of conducting the military operation of the Chinese troops in Kashgar, against Russia.
LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melbourne, June 15. Trickett has sailed in the Orient for England. In the Legislative Assembly to night, Sir John O'iShannassy made another severe attack on the proposed reform of the constitution, and spoke for two hours.
