[new ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Timaru, June ID. At the Resident Magistrate’s Cbnft to-day, Patrick Egan, Thomas Osborne, Neil M'Neil,' John Hennessy, Petßr Roony, John M'Carthy, Alexander Godsell, Hugh Boyd, and John Coffey were charged that, while servants in the National' Mortgage and Agency Co., they did on June 7, at the Three Springs Station, conspire together to seize and take out of the possession of the said Company fifteen horses, valued at £750, of which the Company wore mortgages lawfully in possession, with intent to extort frOra the Company divers sums of money lawfully due by the Company to the defendants, bub alleged to be due to them for wages by one Walter Allan. The charges were dismissed. Accused, who are a very decent lot bf men, Were kept in gaol all night, bail being refused. June 13. The arson case against Chas. Hender* son Clarke, Annie Clark, Geo. Hayes, and Robert Thompson, occupied the Supreme Court all yesterday and till ten o’clock last night, when a verdict of “ Not guilty” was returned, the jury adding that there were strong against Clarke and Thompson;
