At the Resident Magistrate's Court this morning, before E. Barff, Esq., J.P., Margaret Glynn was fined 10s or 24 hours' imprisonment, for drunkenness, and £3 or two months' imprisonment with hard labor for using obscene language. The Licensing Bench will sit to-morrow at the Court House, at noon, to deal with all the applications lodged with the Clorfc of the Court for fresh licenses, transfers, and renewals. Mr R. J. Seddon, M.IT.R., is a passenger by the Christchnrch coach tomorrow morning, en route for Vv'oilin.rton, to attend to his parliamentary duties. Hannah's grand art union sweep will be positively drawn at eight o'clock this evening, at the Town Hall. Sarah Bostock, who was sentenced to six months for a breach of the customs regulations, lias been pardoned by the Governor, and released through a petition promoted by the Star.
