The law requires all marriage licenses, with the ages of the contracting parties, to be published in a daily paper—and of coarse no lady ever gets Over thirty. The United Inglewood tributors have cleaned up, with a result of 47ozs of gold from 114 tons of stone. It will be noticed that this is a much lower average than was obtained from previous cruehings—the two last having been respectively 18dwts and 23dwts; but this is accounted for by the fact that the tributors crushed store which had been left by the company, being the . tail end of two blocks of quartz. The reason that the tributor crushed this stone was in consequence of its being immediately availablewitbontthe necessity of any driving or putting up passes, We (Tnangahua Herald) understand that the Public Works Department is now in possrSßion of all information requisite to the preparation of plans for dray bridge over the Inangabua River at Eeefton; and that tenders will be very shortly invited for the execution of this work.
