The Dunedin. Herald says“ A respectably dressed young girl, who represents herself as the daughter of a bank manager, is soliciting subscriptions in Dunedin “for a widow in distress, ’ The widow is believed to be her own mother, and her father has not occupied the honorable position claimed for him for several years. Bhe has been fairly successful up thepre^ent.”
