At the Christchurch Beview some excitement was caused by a* novel innovation, namely, a Volunteer charging on a bicycle. It ia needless to say that he was the observed 01 all observers. Some rather amusing correspondence has been earned on in Melbourne between Messrs Mirams and Munr o . The latter accused the former of nefarious proceedings in connection with the Carlton election, flrir Mirams asked for an explanation, but Mr Monro declined to answer, and told him to let sleeping dogs He. Mr Mirams not being satisfied, Mr Monro now tells that Mirams tried to get up testimonials to himself, and aotually paid in subscriptions on his own account.
