St. Petersburg, April 9. Notwithstanding the denial given to the reported aggression of Chinese troops after crossing the river Amour orders have been given for the despatch of five more Russian cruisers to China, and an opinion is prevalent that in the event of war being declared Russia would proeeed with naval operations besides taking active measures for the prosecution of war on land. —<• : LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
