RIFLE MATCH.

A triangular idfle mateV between Hokitika, Greyraouth and Kumara teams took place at the rifle butts yesterday. The Greymouth " men, under the command of Captain Smith, arrived early by special tram, and were .met by the local team at the station. ;In the meantime the Hokitika men,

under Captain Bonar, arrived by coach, and the three teams then marched from the drill shed to Gilbert Stewart's iWHotel, outside of which they were dis- . missed. Full justice having been done to Gilbert's substantial breakfast, the contending parties at once proceeded to the rifle range, when the match occupied the lemainder of the day. Although there were a few good scores the shooting on the whole was far below the average at the 500 yards, especially in the case of the local team, failed who most completely at that range.
