LOAFING REVELATION.

[to the editor.] Sift—On perusing the columns of yolit paper anent the late trial Police V. Seebeck, according to the evidence of a witness, the defendant formed his billiard saloon into a, club room, ill order “ttt keep the loafer out.” Mr I have travelled a few thousand miles, both at home and abroad, and I have come to the conclusion that Itumara will bear comparison with any district that 1 have visited as regards the loafing fraternityi We are, as ft community, legitimate producers. We certainly have a few loafers, if I may use the vulgar term—in other words* drones ; and Mr Seebßck as a drone in this case I place him at the head of the list. Therefore he has ho, more right in his own saloon, ol‘ club room (as he thinks proper to term it). It is gratifying to me and the public in general, not forgetting the police officers ; I hope it will make their duties easier. As to the loafing question, it is gratifying to learn that all loafers can he turned into respectable members of society by becoming members of Mr Seebeck’s club, by payihg, in advance, the extravagant sum of a fraction under ft farthing per week, or one penny per inonth-HJr, in order to meet the views of “the upper ten/* one shilling per auburn. This is ftboftt the cheapest process of purifying a Community that ancient or modem philosophers caii boast of, and ongbt to be taken advantage of with, as Utile delay as possible.— Yours, &c,, GfcOßGft SrEWAftt. Seddon street, March S. P.S.—Not yet a member df the Club.
